A few months ago i was scrolling on my tiktok fyp and i came across the Madonna-Whore complex, and it got me thinking. So bear with me.

The Madonna-Whore complex is when a man in a heterosexual romantic relationship doesn’t see his partner in a sexual way.

Now i could go off about how heterosexuality as we know it was crafted around male pleasure and the sexual objectification of the female class, instead of how it’s actually supposed to be; however, this time i want to talk about how this “complex” is actually the first institution of the patriarchy.

The patriarchy is the systemic oppression of the female class in favour of male supremacy. Its origins lie in men’s inability to accept the biological inferiority of the male. Geneticists describe the Y chromosome as a genetic mutation, an incomplete X chromosome, and it has been deteriorating ever since. Biologists have yet to find the natural purpose of the male outside of reproduction, across multiple species. However, it seems the males of other species accepted their natural role, while ours didn’t.

The consequence is the veneration of the male sex and the abomination of the female sex. Just see how we’re taught to hate our female body, while men grow up and live their life continuously talking about it. Just see how our sex characteristics get reduced to only their sexual and reproductive purpose - despite having multiple - while the penis is deemed so important to be able to steal our “virginity”.

This whole projection was then used as a reason to hoard the resources all to themselves, and make us pay with our body, our labour and our life. The rest is a history that keeps repeating itself, something all of us know all too well.

They couldn’t accept their natural role, so they reduced us to it.

Incubators or holes. “Marriage” or “sex work”. Surrogacy or prostitution: the first institutions of the patriarchy.

Madonna or Whore

The difference between left wing and right wing when it comes to women is only about where exactly on our necks their boots should be placed.

To right wing men, we are private property. To left wing men, we are public property. In either case, we are not considered to be humans: We are things.
