"Okay, what's the plan if your parents absolutely hate me?" Clary asked, tracing her fingers up and down Isa's arm as she laid next to her, knowing soon that they needed to tell Isa's parents about their relationship. "Parents tend to not like me, so that may be a big possibility."

“Fancy seeing you here,” she commented when she saw Isa in her peripheral. Clary picked up a bracelet from the stall they were standing at, examining it. “I figured you’re be back to the water by now.”

"I'm just saying, the tacos that you make are much better. However, having a little taco appetizers makes this whole night much better, you know following seeing you in that beautiful dress," Clary said to Isa.

Clary raised her eyebrows at the other when she caught the eyes of Isa’s. “Look, just because I’m a vampire, doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy food,” she replied with a smirk, jokingly lightly.

Clary downed a glass of champagne when she saw Isa approaching. She wasn’t really ready for this. She was still struggling to have a grasp on her heightened emotions. “I think I might need to be more drunk if we have any type of conversation right now,” she said.

While Clary had her bloodlust under control for right now, she was still trying to grapple at her emotions. It was all so new and she wasn’t used to feeling that much, she was used to shoving it down and dying with it, but she was immortal now. Clary was taking a run, hoping it would help, when she ran straight into Isa rounding a corner. Clary took a step back, almost afraid, and so many emotions erupted. Anger, Sadness, even her feelings for Isa still, heightened. “No,” she said. “This can’t happen today.”
