the movie is set to be big, definitely an award season favorite, (the script is a tearjerker, its a beautiful story of Clark's struggles with adoption and immigration in his childhood, then his difficult path through the entertainment industry, including a domestic terrorist attack on the set of his directorial debut, and reuniting with his thought-to-be-dead cousin in adulthood, its a ride)
Konās biggest role before this was the lead of a kidās TV show, so heās never worked on a project of this size
and heās not coping well, he puts on a great show for the cameras but this is the first time heās had so many eyes on him, so much pressure, and all while working with a star-studded cast - his older girlfriend keeps showing up on set, rumors about drugs in his trailer, and his agent is the sleaziest guy that Clark has ever had the displeasure of working with
But it's none of Clark's business! he's a busy guy and only keeping an eye on production of a film like this because Lois asked him to, it's clear that a downward spiral is happening but who is he to say anything to him? he's not the kid's manager or god-forbid, his father (Clark checked, the age matches up but the places don't, he was working out of the country when Kon would have been conceived, if his math is correct)
It doesn't help that Kon has decided to start shamelessly flirting with him whenever he visits, and embarrassingly enough for Clark, it's working
