Mckenzie & Clara @ivancvas Coffee shop by the Ministry
With her youngest feeling emotional that morning, leaving home proved to be a bit of a challenge. The tears weren’t anything new but her son’s way of grabbing onto her leg and refusing to let go even when the babysitter offered to make him a second breakfast was. The resemblance to his father was striking and enough to make her regret departing. She couldn’t shake the feeling of guilt that accompanied leaving that morning. It shouldn’t have lingered - not when she was only working two days out of the week to make sure there were additional savings for her children - but they were on the back of her mind even after she ordered a coffee.
A low sigh escaped once she claimed the seat across from Clara, gently setting her mug down. “I left my most recent notes at home,” She sighed. Her expression faltered into a frown when she went to continue. “I can send them your way after work. Had to rush out since my youngest didn’t want me to leave.”
