[CIARAN] I want mom home, too, bud. But mama’s too sick to come home right now, ok?

[CIARAN] Come in.

[GRACE] Your Majesty, we’ve drafted a statement about Her Majesty. It just needs his approval.

[CIARAN] Alright, what’s it say?

[GRACE] “Her Majesty Queen Catriona, and her unborn baby, are in stable condition thanks to the great work from attending healthcare professionals. The King wishes to express his gratitude to well-wishers, but asks for privacy at this time.”

[CIARAN] Don’t mention the baby. Take that out and it’s fine.

[GRACE] Respectfully, sir, the team and I think it’s wise to mention the baby. One massive candid thing to subdue the press, and they’ll leave you alone for a little while.

[CIARAN] I said take it out. Catriona will announce it on her own time, do you understand?

[GRACE] Yes, sir.

[DOCTOR] Firstly, she’s doing well, Your Majesty. We’re out of the woods.

[CIARAN] Thank god.

[DOCTOR] Your Majesty, were you aware that Queen Catriona was pregnant?

[CIARAN] What?

[DOCTOR] While Her Majesty should recover, the baby is still unstable, sir. We’re doing everything we can, I’m confident in my team.

[DEIRDRE] Honey? How is she?

[CIARAN] I’m not sure, really. The doctors, they’re confusing.

[DEIRDRE] I know… Honey, why don’t you go shower and eat something? I’ll sit with her, ok? You need to take care of yourself.

[CIARAN] I can’t. I have to be here if she wakes up. I can’t leave.

[DEIRDRE] She won’t wake up today, Ciaran. And you need to look after yourself. Cillian wants to see you, he knows something’s wrong.

[CIARAN] I- I know. How is he?

[DEIRDRE] He’s ok, the nanny is with him, I think Duncan and Connor are with him. But he’s smart, he knows this isn’t normal, no matter what we tell him.

He wants to see you, though. And I know Cat would want you to be with him. Not smelling like that, of course, but still.

[CIARAN] I know, but what if—

[CILLIAN] Daddy!

[CIARAN] I’ve missed you!

[DUNCAN] How is she?

[CIARAN] Stable, and the baby is getting there.

[DUNCAN] That’s good, Ciar. I’m glad.

[CONNOR] When are you going back to the hospital? I thought you had a more important, dying wife to worry about?

[CILLIAN] Dying?

[CIARAN] Get out. Out.

[DUNCAN] Ciaran—

[DETECTIVE] We know you did it, Mike. What we’re looking for is why. And it’ll be a lot easier if you just tell me.

[MIKE] What if I don’t want to tell you anything?

[DETECTIVE] We’ll figure it out anyway. But if you cooperate, maybe the legal system will be kinder.

[DETECTIVE] Now, tell me what you meant when you yelled “por ea”. It’s Latin, yes?

[MIKE] Yes…

[DETECTIVE] It means “for her”, right? For who, Mike?

[MIKE] I did what needed to be done. She needed to be gone. You’ll see.

[DETECTIVE] For who, Mike?

[CIARAN] I want to see my wife.

[NURSE] *sigh* Sir, I’ve told you, you cannot go into the OR. A nurse will come let you know of any updates.

[CIARAN] I have a right to see my wife—

[NURSE] Sir, you cannot and will not go into the OR. I’m sorry, but those are the rules.

[GRACE] Sir, you should come sit down. I understand you’re stressed, but this…
