Between a Rock and a Hard Place // Loki
āI told you we shouldnāt have taken this job⦠This looks really bad.ā Ā The Ā Tanuki daemonĀ sighed from the floor
Clint knew he shouldnāt have taken this job. Every single thing about it screamed wrong,Ā but when you were strapped for money you did stupid things. That was how he ended up beaten, chained, locked up in the dark, damp basement of what the the basement of what he believed theĀ Serpent Society. Ā Ā
The cell was small and cramped, even with just him and Arrow, Ā his Ā daemon. Ā His arms were bound behind him and Arrow immobilized across the room. Ā The situation was bad, but heād gotten out of worse. Clint searched the floor as best he could for anything to break these locks off. Luck this week proved not to be on his side.
Clint finally looked across the room at his daemonĀ āIf it looks bad, I can tell you that it feelsĀ worseāĀ Ā He Ā responded with a grunt.
Clanking from down the hall alerted him of anotherĀ prisonerĀ making their way down to this hellhole. Ā He prayed to a god he didnāt believe in that they wouldnāt drop off this sorry son of a bitch in his cell. He had enough to worry without another person in here. He would be lucky to get himself out, much less another.
The man cursed as he was dragged down the hallway, struggling against the menās grips. āLet me go!ā he snapped, fear gripping his heart. He was not a fighter like his brother. Perhaps that was why they chose to capture him over Thor; less of a fight. Fools, though. For one, their father preferred Thor. Kidnapping Loki would make it easier for him to reason that they wouldnāt negotiate with terrorists. No one was going to come for him.
His daemon was held and dragged by his captorās wolf daemon and she was still in its grip, unlike Loki. She was calm where he was panic. They suddenly came to a stop in front of a cell door. It was pulled open and he and Katlarion were roughly dragged inside before being chained up.
It wasnāt until the man and his daemon had left that Loki realized there was another prisoner in there with him. Panting, he looked up and across at him through narrowed eyes.
