( harry styles. twenty-five. cismale. he/him. ) in texas, christy (chris-tee) john-morgan is known to most as cj. they have been riding with the diablos for three years. they are originally from stratford and the soldier is known to be very short-tempered & judgmental but the other club members will tell you they are fair & reliable. as the years go by, they’ve gained a lot of respect in the club and around town. they rarely ever drive a car but when they do ‘i don’t think i can do this again’ by mura masa is usually heard blasting. ( heavy breath in cold temperatures, bloodied knuckles, several battered diaries bound together, unmade bed, wishbone necklace, feeling the bass heavy in the chest at a concert, waking startled from a nightmare )
christy was born and raised in stratford to parents who, to put simply, had better things to do. they weren’t the best support network, nor were they around too much to begin with; left often with friends of his mother and father, the boy wasn’t just an only child, but was a very lonely boy.
he was quick to create an imaginary friend called teddy. teddy was his best friend, his shadow, and boy, did he stick.
the older christy got, the more his parents left him to his own devices and the more he relied on teddy. however, this meant talking to himself, arguing with himself, laughing to himself... and a lot of people didn’t like this.
from being young, the boy had been laughed at, talked about, pushed around and even fought with for being different. but he was just lonely... or, he was.
idolising the diablo’s from the moment he pushed a bully back, christy realised he had some potential. he felt angry that people were like this, but the diablo’s had no issues; they were cool, they were the bosses and christy didn’t seem to have a family like they did. he looked up to them, he wanted to be like them, be part of them. but he couldn’t not until he was older. not until he could fight his own corner.
which, in hindsight, perhaps teddy was a blessing in disguise. if christy was destined to be the odd one out, did his imagination lead him to a better future? the fights escalated the older he got, the wounds got worse and christy’s reasons for picking on other people began to become silly, just to feel the connection of his fist with a jaw and feel the release of the frustration he had inside, not being able to feel normal.
before long, christy met WANTED CONNECTION, who was his inspiration (few and far between) to try and do something better with his anger; his stamina and his strength seemed to be contributing to nothing good, just overnight kips at police stations. WANTED CONNECTION encouraged the boy to join a gym, which reluctantly he did... and he actually quite enjoyed it.
religious visits to the gym meant christy was letting out his anger, his frustrations, ignoring teddy muttering nonsense down his ear and getting fit. and it wasn’t long before he was recruited by the diablo’s, who seemed to have seen the potential and the determination in christy, albeit the screw lose in his head.
feeling like he belongs now, christy is appreciative, but teddy never really left. in fact, he’s around now more than ever and when christy is called to assist as a soldier, he wonders if that actually might be a good thing. after all, without a screwed up mind, he wouldn’t have the family he has now, would he?
