I'm presenting my city-flag re-design to the city's council on Monday! What should I say?
from /r/vexillology Top comment: When I saw the current poorly designed flag I started my attempts to redesign it - the new one is what I ultimately decided on being best for the city. One councillor said she liked it and has invited me to present it to the city council next week -- but I'm wondering what I should say... Any help? The new flag represents the mountain range overlooking the city, the river and it's importance to the native peoples, and the green flood plains the city sits on. The flag utilises the pre-existing symbolism of green and white which is used on popular local sports teams. The flag can also be defaced with a [new coat of arms of the city](https://i.imgur.com/Tef8fnu.png) So I'm set for a 10 min presentation, but what do I say to convince them to change the flag? (I'll probably have to say something about the successful Chicago flag right?)
