Like so (too) many users my Cisco VPN Client stopped working once upgrading to Windows 8.1

Some search on forum where quite pessimistic as recommendation was to upgrade both client and .... cisco server to AnyConnect technology.

I found an option to use an alternative application that provide free standard license for both private and professional use that simply works. A paid version provide more features
