       “i don’t give a shit what tasha says !” words are somewhat VITRIOLIC but pose is languid, sprawled across the backseat of her car. “she thinks she knows everything. god.” perhaps not the best of words to convey to tasha’s best friend, despite their being currently ON THE OUTS. “i dunno why she’s pissed at you, this relationship was my decision !”

“Hey, I got ya some coffee.” Leo smiles, sitting down on the edge of his desk to press a kiss to his lips. “Black, just the way ya like. And I brought ya some food in case ya hadn’t eaten yet. Really hope that’s not the case.” She sits up and hands him the warm mug with a smile.

“You think you could tell Tony that he needs to stop hanging out with Steve and actually come home?”

              “nat, get in the back. clint, your brother’s gonna come get you at, like, six, i think? he’s got FOOTBALL PRACTICE or some shit and he wanted me to take you back to ours. i’ll cook you dinner and you can do your homework, ‘kay?” the SUNGLASSES descend back onto the bridge of her nose. “seatbelts, both of you. or some adult will kill me.”

              “babe. this is just unfair.” she focuses the full power of her best BAMBI EYED GAZE on him. “those fries were MINE, you can’t just steal them ! that’s, like, the sacred rule of fries.”

         “but you know how BORED I GET.” kat’s moving quite langorously this morning, almost accidentally provocative, big eyes working their magic on him as they always do. “you can’t keep me locked up like a princess in a tower forever...” head tilting in consideration, catching her lip between her teeth.  “can you?”

     she’s sitting at the bartons’ farmhouse kitchen table with clint and laura, the latter of whom is GLARING FAINTLY at her as she always is. not to sound completely vain, but it’s hard being pretty in this business, especially with the married ones. she turns their attention towards cooper and lila’s files, spread beneath immaculately polished red fingernails. “as you see -- their progress is coming along very nicely. i couldn’t be prouder ! and they’re lovely children.” she smiles, a bit tightly but no less radiant. “i think my being here is really the catalyst, wouldn’t you agree?” the smile turns on clint, as it does frequently and especially so when laura’s out. “the state wants me to be here more though. it helps with the more... DIFFICULT CONJUGATIONS to have someone here closer to twenty-four/seven.” eyes widen as if she doesn’t know exactly what she’s doing, and she laughs in manufactured embarrassment. “not to INTRUDE, of course not ! i would never. but it seems like a good option if you would be all right with that?”
