the other tudors
margaret douglas and frances grey (née brandon) are just two other tudors, the eldest daughters of henry viii’s sisters, margaret tudor and mary tudor, respectively. mary’s children and grandchildren were recognised by henry viii in his final act of succession, and given there is no doubt as to their legitimacy, with the death of her uncle, frances grey has become a close contender for the throne. the king, however, overlooked margaret’s line in its entirety, but that’s not to say her daughter faded into obscurity.
the howards
the howard family is among one of the oldest noble households in england, dating back to reign of edward i, from whom they claim direct descent. as such, they’ve always kept close company to the throne, with the family’s patriarch, thomas howard, having previously married anne of york, the daughter of edward iv, and his daughter, mary howard, married to the royal bastard son of henry viii, henry fitzroy.
the boleyn siblings
anne boleyn was always short on supporters, although her devoted brother, george, has proven an exception to this, the same can’t be said for her sister, mary. can the boleyns come together now to support their sister and niece in these trying times?
note: placeholder face claims are aidan turner and tamsin egerton but these are, by no means, set in stone and are open to change.
the duke of suffolk
charles brandon was henry viii’s closest friend, and retained his position as favourite of the king for the duration of his life. brandon’s father served as standard bearer to henry vii at the battle of bosworth, and lost his life to richard iii himself during the great affray. he was rewarded for his courage, and his children held in high regard. brandon was introduced to henry at a young age and the pair were brought up within close proximity to one another. he would later go on to become the king’s brother-in-law by marriage to his sister, a union that produced two living daughters, frances and eleanor. suffolk may have lost his closest friend, but could he see one of his daughter’s succeed their uncle?

king of scots
the young king of scotland, james v, is quite an interesting fellow. although high-born, he really enjoys mingling with the commonfolk around his kingdom. the man sure enjoys going to taverns, whorehouses, and even do some manual labor in some run-of-the-mill farm or stable, pretending to be someone else, which earned him the name "king of the commons". the way he puts it, he sees it as the duty of a ruler to know what his people think, feel, what aspirations they have and what are the burdens they suffer. of course, this is just his justification... in reality he just likes to party and have fun. but in a sense, it does helps him rule his fleeting kingdom, plague with some internal problems. having the commonfolk on your side if trouble arises is good politics.
note: james v is already in play on the site, as is his mother, margaret tudor, but both could certainly benefit from having half-sister and daughter, margaret douglas, about, perhaps even some members of the scottish nobility?

justice is what you’re threatened with
thomas, born in putney 1485 has come a long way. from being the son of a blacksmith to being a minister to the king of england. and he's not yet done. great plans are on his mind, plans that will change england forever... and he will stop at nothing if it is needed. despite his reputation and demeanour and not to mention the countless rumours about him, thomas is a very charming and affable person. he helps and never let down friends and does do everything for his family. it is also not in his nature to blame others for his failure. he's a man who stands to his words and actions. however, he also can be ruthless and he will stick at nothing when he's doing his job. never take it personal if he should be on your trails.
note: thomas cromwell is already in play on site, but could benefit from the company of fellow reformers, thomas cranmer and george boleyn.
