The rise of illiteracy is very real, and I'm sorry to say it comes in many forms. AI or not, there are just some people that can't wrap their heads around metaphorical writing. Like, I'm sure revenge can't be sweet and people can't actually taste it, and yet....
#Call me fucking pretentious but idrc#how TF u go into fic spaces and get mad and upset about the writing culture that has formed there#ugh I hate ppl who make their poetic illiteracy everyone else's problem#Cipher Speaks#Fandom#Literature#AO3#there was a big debate on if this fic was ai#and not ONLY was there no proof but the witch hunt was literally calling every fic writing tick into questions#I hate gen ai as much as the next person but this is literally indistinguishable from some fics I've personally read before#purple prose is SO SO common for fics and no one here is doing it for a grade or for publishing#everyone breaks conventional writing 'rules' allll the time with fic writing- DOESN'T mean it's ai!!!!!!!!!#AI#the whole sc that was shown also didn't read like ai either. it read like a typical flowery fic - y'know what it was TRAINED ON?!!!!!!!
