She inhaled, the sweet air hitting her senses as the temperatures started to cool, the water lapping at her feet to create a lulling feeling of ease.
It was serene.
The distant sound of sea fairing birds echoed as they started to roost, the excitement of the day winding down as she took her time walking through the crisp waters. The gentle crash of sea hitting sand the only sound left as the gulls cries faded. Her tail gently swayed behind her, raising her emerald green hues to the sky as the sun started its decent; watching a fiery scene implode through the clouds as the vivid reds and oranges seemed to fight to stay in the sky, clashing harshly with the brilliant blue of ocean and free horizon. It was a valiant fight that would only end a few minutes later, calming as the crimson tints gave way to blues, easing to purples then blacks. A curtain of stars trickled into sight to hug the pitch, giving company to the once void space.
Her chest rose and fell with the softest sigh, lips upturning to a sweet smile as if she held a secret. Moving to a house hadnt been as terrible as she had thought it would be, not with views like this and water so close. Her toes gently buried themselves in the sand in the water, giving a light chuckle that had the softest rasp as she sighed looking up, eyes dancing across the star strewn canvas, smitten with the small piece of beach she had taken residence upon. It would be a slow adjustment, having a home, not moving around and staying in one place…but this certainly was a brilliant start to it that she couldn’t complain about.
