CIM Faculty :: Duo of famous musicians to play Sandusky classical concert, Feb 21
Cleveland Institute of Music faculty members and world-renowned musicians Jaime Laredo and Sharon Robinson will join the Firelands Symphony Orchestra, conducted by their CIM colleague Carl Topilow, on Saturday, February 21 at the Sandusky State Theater. The duo will be the featured soloists performing Brahms' Concerto for Violin and Cello.

A bit of trivia this Sandusky Register article shared...apparently Mr. Laredo had a soccer stadium named after him in Bolivia. Who knew? Probably a lot of people, actually, but it was (cool) news to us! Laredo explained to the Sandusky Register that it has since been converted into an outdoor concert venue. The duo was scheduled to play there, but poor weather moved their concert.

CIM Faculty: Musicians look to expand repertoire, March 9 | Albuquerque Journal
Guitarist Jason Vieaux and harpist Yolanda Kondonassis have been passing each other in the halls of the Cleveland Institute of Music for years. These concert artists and conservatory instructors exchanged more than pleasantries when they encountered each other a few years ago.
āYolanda asked me if Iād be interested in playing (Alan) Hovhanessā Sonata for harp and guitar with her,ā recalled Vieaux. āI thought it would be a great idea. But it didnāt happen right away. I was busy with other collaborations and recitals.ā
Two years ago Vieaux and Kondonassis performed their first duo recital together at the Cleveland Institute of Music. On the program were the only works for guitar and harp they could find.
