📂 Top Secret Memorandum — 1945. Subject: "Safe passage and intelligence extraction of German scientific personnel."

In the final days of WWII, as Allied forces liberated Europe, U.S. intelligence operatives quietly executed Operation Paperclip — a program that smuggled over 1,600 former Nazi scientists, engineers, and technicians into the United States.

Most infamous among them: 🧠 Wernher von Braun, former SS officer and architect of the Nazi V-2 rocket program — later hailed as the father of NASA’s space program.

But this was no simple defection. The U.S. government intentionally altered personnel files, erasing Nazi affiliations to clear entry for these war criminals.

Once inside the U.S.:

They built ballistic missile systems for the military.

Conducted aerospace and psychological warfare research.

Took seats at the highest levels of NASA, DARPA, and intelligence think tanks.
