Lattice was, ironically enough, caught like a deer in headlights as she’s placed on the spot. She hadn’t been expecting anything from the smallest, youngest Strawhat pirate, and hadn’t made purchased anything for him in return. Even if this was just a gift for giving sake, she hadn’t thought she’d be on Chopper’s Christmas List.

Before the wait could get too awkward, or the little reindeer begin to question himself, she softly smiles.

            Someone asked a rather profound question that requires a headcanon of its own xD

           The cases, together with frequent tragedies accompanied with, certainly account for a large amount of psychological change to a dark mania which at last involved both a possibility of murderous tendencies and a profound and peculiar change in the apparent contents of his Caius; and illustrate the mental soil upon which fell, in the fateful year, the seeds that come to such strange and terrible fruition

           To be brief, yes he would without uncertainty wholly bring an end to immortality and service with Yeul, and I shall moreover explain based on the standing of actual facts and details. As few surviving denizens of Paddra idly know of that dreadful, accursed boon accorded by the tenebrous goddess Etro, for his spirit to induce the ultimate sacrifice; whereby he initiated the dreadful incarnate summon, offering up his physical body to manifest a semi-corporeal entity to save the seeress from an impending doom. Moved his final act of dedication, the Goddess granted him a boon; and seen by many as emanated diligence recognised and admired. Cursorily, in those advancing years, Caius would proudly serve this role as her guardian until history’s end. His heroics record within those half-rotted annals of Paddra’s history and carefully preserved until its collapse; when the decision preordained,  certainly accounting by titanic visions of Yeul ’s destruction of the peaceful city, precipitated any amount of civic spirit turned to civil revolt amidst brethren.  

           Afterwards when her retinue had disbanded amongst those stark, jagged cliffs, whence she had died and lied deep in the earth, coupled with advancing centuries, altogether marked a peculiar change apparent in the content of his mind; his faithfulness as proud guardian to the almighty now twisted into a strange and grotesque form, his mind touched by those age-long years of madness and pain. Psychological characteristic involving mental disturbances, if true, will age one rapidly; but his body well-nigh omnipotent his mind otherwise its responses to matters outside those spheres of madness are limited, affirming any reminders of his former brilliant guardian heretofore are fragments. Occasionally are those shimmering moments, were faintly glitter across the darkness linking to his former self. 

     In Lightning’s return, It is increasingly apparent his age-long company yeul brings scarce satisfaction or pleasure, seemingly only deepens on misery in silence during his entire existence.  Mostly his sentiments concerning Yeul are exceedingly complex in nature, as he still understands is she a mere child. one who rejects the thought ideal to let his soul rest, coupled with arguing requests from their shattered soul. He wants to leave Yeul’s company but may subtly feel some measure of offence that is not truly expressed instead is unwholesomely rationalise this stemming from her child-like tendencies.
