It starts with Astra arriving Chuggington, and Wilson has the job of showing her around before she starts work on Chug Patrol.

After this however, Vee then tells Wilson he is being temporarily relieved from Chug Patrol - or any work at all, as he has not had much of a break in his time on the squad for a long while, much to Wilson's shock and disappointment - he wanted to spend Astra's first days on Chug Patrol together...

This is how I plan to tactfully apply my course correction to Wilson's character, which S4-5 failed to properly balance with him adjusting to his new position on Chug Patrol. That's something we'll go more into another time.

Wilson has been so eager to learn everything he needs to know about Chug Patrol, hyperfocusing on the new position ever since he was invited to join, he does not want to take a break, but Vee insists this is for his own benefit, as well as Jackman when he confronts him about it.

"Just remember stay out of trouble would you? We wouldn't want a Chug Patroller needing rescuing would we?" Jackman chuckles fondly, leaving Wilson not sharing the amusment...

Wilson then starts to worry, he likes Astra, but what if she does so well that she actually replaces him because he's still a trainee? From there Wilson tries to prove just how good of a Chug Patroller he is, so Jackman will keep him.

Is he being foolish to worry about this? Maybe. A little. Yes.

Is he still gonna go out of his way for it? Absolutely yes.

Then is is where my takes on Tales From The Rails episodes begin...

As seen in Chug Patrol, Out of Control, Wilson forms the Junior Chug Patrollers - Zephie, Piper, and Hoot and Toot, to prove just how good of a chief he can be, as he once trained for and dreamed about in a S4 episode.

While the other Chug Patrollers are out, Wilson does a training drill with his Junior Crew, with a happening-to-be-passing-by Cormac as his witness, but like the original episode doesn't go well, much to Cormac's amusement and Wilson's frustration.

Wilson drives off on his own when Brewster and Koko rush into the depot, explaining that Zack has become a runaway at the Chug-A-Sonic Speed Track, and are looking for Chug Patrol. - this takes an element from Action Chugger's Day Off

Wilson sees this as another chance to prove himself. The Junior Chug Patrollers catch up and Zephie asks Wilson if they can help, but Wilson, still displeased with the disastrous drill, insists he can handle it alone and tells them to stay out of the way, before taking off determined to beat the rest of Chug Patrol to Zack. Realizing he's likely about to do something reckless, his friends race after him.

Wilson makes it to the Speed Track before anyone else and couples behind Zack to slow him down, but Zack has too much momentum and at a tight bend Wilson comes off the rails, flying into the air before being caught by Action Chugger before he can make impact with the ground, like in the original episode.

Once Wilson is back on the rails he hears Astra's astonished voice, amazed and excited to have seen the famous Action Chugger in-person for the first time. Wilson races away before she and the other Chug Patrollers arrive and see him, not wishing to be caught and confronted about what just happened.

Whil Chug Patrol and the others are distracted with Zack and Action Chugger however, Zephie spots Wilson leaving and catches up to him to confront the humiliated trainee about his reckless rescue attempt and change in attitude, and Wilson argues with her...

"You're going to get hurt! Why are you so worried she's gonna replace you? Is it really worth getting yourself in an accident?!"

"I dunno, Zephie," snarked Wilson, "Was it worth almost getting Hoot and Toot crushed by a boulder because you wanted more chuggers in that stupid 'Star Club' you wouldn't let me in for absolutely NO reason?"

*LE GASP* (Zephie turns to face Wilson) "Alright, you did not have to go there, I said I was sorry!"

"Whatever! I know what I'm doing! I'm gonna show everyone I'm still good enough to be a Chug Patroller, and I don't need someone who can't even spray a hose getting in my way!"

Wilson huffs off leaving a deeply offended but still worried Zephie behind.

From there I'm thinking of rewritting the final rescue to something different from Out Of Control, just so that Rescue and Repair is not a misleading title.

Chug Patrol are dealing with another emergency, the Chuggineers and a job they're working on is likely involved, but then Cormac gets into an accident like in the original, and Wilson is left on his own. He realizes he can't fix this on his own and goes to his Junior Crew, admitting he was not very patient with them like a good chief, and they agree to give him a second chance.

When they arrive to Cormac it turns out Astra had also come by to pick up more barriers, but now Cormac needs her help too, so she, Wilson, and the Junior Chug Patrollers work together.

We then cut to the ending from Out Of Control, Jackman and the other Chug Patrollers are impressed with Wilson and Astra's work, and Wilson admits to Jackman his worries over his place on Chug Patrol with Astra's arrival. Jackman, Calley and Asher, surprised, all laugh and assure Wilson both he and Astra will always have a place on Chug Patrol no matter what. Wilson blushes, (or at least he would be if he weren't already red) realizing how silly he's been, while Brewster and Koko exchange amused glances knowingly.

"He's a great Chug Patroller, but even after all this time he still has it in him!" ¬‿¬

"That's our Wilson." ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Wilson also apologizes to Zephie for their argument, and the mention of the events of Zephie Star Club has Astra intrigued, she askes them about it, leaving Zephie and Wilson exchanging blank awkward glances.
