Chrysalis Program for Job Seekers
A member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Christian E. Markey III represents clients in aspects of family law that include prenuptial agreements, dissolution, and child and spousal support. Christian E. Markey is also a longtime supporter of Chrysalis, a non-profit organization that provides job-readiness classes and services for men and women in the Los Angeles area. Established in 1991, Chrysalis offers help to women and men who face barriers to employment such as disability, homelessness, or a history in the criminal justice system. Chrysalis supports clients in setting goals and locating resources that allow them to enter the workforce. Among the organization’s services is a job readiness program that addresses computer skills and customer service training as well as one-on-one support for resume writing and interview practice. Chrysalis clients can also benefit from community resources such as an on-site computer lab, hygiene supplies, and bus tokens to travel for interviews. Support groups provide ongoing assistance for clients and aim to improve job retention.
