What do you think is the reason why adult Fei wasn't chosen to be the main protagonist of chronicle mode? Or not even adult Zanark? That would have been a more relevant choice than a protagonist who's the relative of a minor CS character.
I want to know more about their background, I don't feel like we know enough about Vic to root for him 😭
I understand the feeling yeah, I do root for Vic bc I feel borderline paternal about him but that's a me thing. However, We must undertand that this is, after all, a Inazuma Eleven game and the target audience are mostly kids at Vic's age, and it is waaaaaay easier and convenient to write a young character that doesn't know about the world, it's easier to carry character development. If we use, lets say, Fei as our main character we wouldn't have room for character development as much as we did with Vic, and also, as much as Fei is my favorite character, I don't think we need him or Zanark to protagonize another story.

I did love that FINALLY we got more lore, not just a final gate match. that made me feel more encouraged to play (I personally find Chronicle Mode an absolute nighmare to play) My personal and subjetive complain is that I was expecting more old characters involved, not a new team bc now I can imagine how this will end and I don't like knowing so much or getting so many hints (I study script on my animation course don't mind this) Like I can be certain the final battle will be againts Kinis' team OR Kinis will join us to defeat the Mind Eater.

Sure, they went for a sandclock shape for my man, overall looking square like which usually represents calmness and security, it fits a character like Fei that now 1) A mentor for Victorio 2) in charge to protect Pluke City. He looks non-threathing.
About his hair, they did something I personally adore, his pigtails/ears are now dropy, resembling a Lop-eared rabbit, even his hair adds to the square shape.
The only thing I don't really like is that they changed his skin and hair color, I'm not a great fan of VicRO saturated colors they don't suit old characters.
