Here's a fluffy Zutara hc: we know Katara loves telling scary stories, and we know Zuko's a firebender (obviously). They combine those skills to make scary shadow puppet stories for their kids! (Zuko lights a flame in his palm, and Katara makes shadow puppets in the light he casts on the wall--hopefully that makes sense 😅)

Okay, I feel like this needs an explanation! I think Toph and Aang are cute together but I don’t necessarily ship it, though i don’t mind when it’s in a fan fic and the fan art always makes me🥺🥰 I like the idea of Toph and Aang finding solace in each other, and I think it’s been developed into something super meaningful and cute in fanon, but i just don’t really see it in canon!

Wow, I could find something nice to say about most of the characters in ATLA (villains excluded)... I think the creators in this fandom have showed me nuances to all of them I wouldn’t have gotten from just the show... That’s not an answer though so, okay, how about this: I was neutral on Yue to begin with, but I’m obsessed with @visit-ba-sing-se‘s Avatar Yue AU and also a lot of the art that’s come out of the Yueki fandom left me speechless??? So beautiful!!

8. How often do people catch onto your little details?

It actually happens way more often than I’d expect it to! Talking specifically about my socmed fics, so far my readers have caught onto all the ways I try to connect things with the canon world, the texting styles that I use for everyone and little emoji changes that go into contact names.

1) Describe your comfort zone—a typical you-fic.

I think that one-shots with lots of intriguing visuals are kind of a happy place for me -case in point: Of Lanterns and Turtle Ducks. 

4) How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Care to share one of them?

I think the question is supposed to be if I have ideas for fics I want to write if I’m understanding correctly, so I’ll start by saying I’m working on a one-shot inspired by a song right now. It’s very angsty, but I heard this song and instantly thought of Zutara and the idea would not leave me alone so stay tuned for that hot mess 😂 The other thing I’m planning on writing is a Great British Bake Off AU (probably a one-shot, tbd, it just sounds fun.)

And then I just can’t not plug my IP fic Element of Change so I’ll add that I’m really excited for the ideas that will be getting added to that in coming chapters 😏

29) If you could write the sequel (or prequel) to any fic out there not written by yourself, which would you choose?

5. The book you can finish and then immediately start again without hesitation?

Definitely IT by Stephen King. I’ve read it probably 4 times over the course of my life and every time I am hanging on every word. Stephen King always does that, but IT really hit different and I think it’s bc me and my friends from middle school are still friends to this day (even almost 6 years out from HS) and it feels like a love letter to the adolescent friendships that make you who you are :,)

9. If you had to be shoved into a book only armed with what you know about the universe and nothing else, which book would you choose?

The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson!!! Leo DiCaprio bought the film rights in 2010 and I want to know WHY HE’S BEEN SITTING ON THEM ALL THESE YEARS.

13. What character would you play in a movie adaptation of your current favorite book?

I’d gladly be Anne Eliot in a new adaptation of Jane Austen’s Persuasion!

16. Old book smell or new book feel?

OLD BOOK SMELL!!! Hands down. I collect vintage and antique books, so that smell is just one of my favorite things. 😊
