mini queer vent
saw a post on tiktok about seeing tags on fics where it's like "#au where gay marriage is legal" and stuff like that and it's honestly just ripped my heart out
being queer is such an inherently gut wrenching, emotional, and raw life to live
it hurts thinking about these things sometimes - i know for others it's a lot more prevalent in their daily life but for the most part (and i'm grateful for why) it isn't for me. this is because i'm lucky to be surrounded by friends and family who support me and my 'lifestyle' and choices, and while i've had my fair share of hardships, shockingly not a lot of that was homophobic centric.
but sometimes i see things that reminds me of how actually scary, horrific, upsetting this life can be outside of my safe bubble and it's overwhelming how much it all just 'is', if that makes any sense
this is just a rambling to get the thoughts out of my head, so i can start my day properly
like the whole "do they know it's legal" regarding media that was created, published, or set in a time where no - it wasn't . makes me feel like my heart is being ripped out
how recent and raw our history still is, and how it's so far from old and in fact is still current.
shit sucks
