For our next celebration of the chromolithographs from Anthologie de L’Ornement: Dictionnaire des Styles, we highlight Heinrich Dolmetsch’srenderings from Persian, Indian, and Russian traditions. Published in Paris in the late 1800s by Armand Guérinet(1852-1925), Dolmetch’s cover boasts that the books 100 plates display ornaments de toutes les époques d'art – from all eras of art.
