The Chromapolis ICO platform project is being developed by the Swedish company ChromaWay, which seeks to create a service that enables the use of decentralized applications (dApps) with scalability and a simple development system.
The system is protected against unauthorized access and can not be disabled. The services it provides can be monetized without compromising the privacy of users' personal data.
Chromapolis is a new block platform for dApps, created to combat the shortcomings of existing platforms. Its' aim is creating a new generation of scalable applications beyond what the existing block services offer.
Despite the fact that in theory such platforms as Ethereum allow the use of any application, in practice they have many limitations: bad user experience, high fees, inadequate developer opportunities, low security and others. All this prevents replacing traditional applications with decentralized ones.
The authors of the project argue that to properly solve these problems, it is necessary to seriously revise the current block technology, its architecture and programming tools, in accordance with the needs of dApps.
The Chromapolis team has identified the following priorities for themselves:
- Provide access for millions of users to scalable applications.
- To make the user work as easy and simple as when using centralized applications.
- To provide an opportunity for developers to create protected applications with minimal effort, using familiar paradigms.
Advantages of Chromapolis
The platform is characterized by lower transaction costs compared to Ethereum, faster confirmation time, easier application development and more practical access to data. The implementation of the relational model allows the use of SQL database management systems. This possibility is considered by the creators of the project as one of the main advantages of their platform.
One more advantage is that compared to Ethereum, where everything is based on smart contracts, and each interaction with the blockchain costs money, Chromapolis allows dApps to have its own side chain. This approach ensures payment for the services of the nodes, not by charging transaction fees. Funds are used from the profits that dApps bring. This solves problem of scaling, and also allows to rethink the management system and the internal economy.
