I made my own Chroma-Sapien based offa some of @healedcrystalās characters! His name is Joe,Ā after the villain from Help Iām A Fish, because someone said he looked like heād sound like Professor Snape and heās technically the same sub-species as Maremilo (who belongs to Crystal of course), being a cross between a kraken and a (jellyfish) mermaid, just a completely different result. As mentioned in the concept art, Joe canāt walk because his legs wonāt allow him to; theyāre just flimsy jellyfish tentacles after all, so they canāt support his full weight. Ideally, heād use a wheelchair, but I donāt know how to draw that! So heās just sitting. Heās actually a great swimmer, although he can only swim backwards.
Joe is a rather pessimistic individual, mostly due to his frustration with his condition. Heās very grumpy, and prefers to keep to himself, but he does have other colorsā interests and well-being in mind... when it suits him.Ā
His signature ability allows him to manipulate the salt content of any liquid. This sounds like a weak power, but its effects are unlimited! He could change an entire river to saltwater, or go through an ocean and turn the saltwater around him into freshwater. However, the most effective use of his power, as he has found, is using it on blood. You can die from having too much salt in your blood, after all. Itās best not to anger him, or thereās a good chance heāll use his ability. And we donāt want that, do we?
