What breeds of Chroma are there, or are Chroma divided by elements instead? What breeds of Dunewyrms are there, if any? And finally, is the old Coreless Lore (where Coreless Dragons are the dragons from the original Spyro game) still canon for this blog, or has it been scrapped? If it has been scrapped, how do Coreless now work?
MOD: The Chroma are essentially divided by their Elements, though they all consider themselves Chroma rather than separate species. The Chroma are pretty ‘easily mixed,’ if you will. (Like paint, HUE.) The features of each element aren’t really restricted to one element or the other, though there are some features that come out stronger via genetics.
Although one of the key determining ‘species features’ comes down to the ‘Sail Wings’ and the ‘Soar Wings.’ (New name get WHOO!) Newcomers may not know but Sail Wings vs Soar Wings refers to the wing type that I assign to specific characters. For example, Astraeus has Soar Wings, with membranous tissue that extends halfway down the tail, which can also be ‘magicked away.’ Sail Wings cannot be ‘magicked away,’ and have less membrane, and usually sport smaller wingspans.
And the Coreless are VERY much still a thing! I might have to rename them (copyright issues), BUT the same basic concepts apply: certain Elemental crossbreeding results in a dragon without Elemental Magic, though sometimes this can just happen randomly. It’s either the result of conflicting ‘Cores’ from the parents or a defect. Though I will give you this little nugget:
Gaea is not considered Coreless despite being labeled ‘Untouchable.’ Although someone in the clan IS Coreless.....
What are the milestones for dragons? When do they get their wings, element, when do they first fly, etc?
MOD: First, I should establish aging for dragons. They age much slower than humans do, and a single calendar year is four times that of our own 365 days. So 1,460 days = 1 Earth year, but for a dragon, it’s much longer in reference to how they age physically and mentally. For now the placeholder name is just a year, but for a time I was kicking around the term ‘season’ in reference to the peak of winter starting and the year beginning anew.
Adulthood milestones for dragons usually falls under 150 years according to the world they live on, when they are recognized as adults. This is about the time that they pick mates, and about 30 years following they have eggs. (This is peak sexual maturity for them.) Flight usually occurs when they’re about 75 years old, placing them at about the mental/physical maturity of a ten year old. Their first flight is heavily monitored by either their parents or guardians/caretakers, but after that, they’re pretty well on their own. These are just short, experimental flights, and it isn’t until they reach about 100 years and up that they take on longer flights, when they’re sent to various parts of the world to attend colleges or find occupations.
When they’re older than 150 there aren’t many specifics, at least for the Chroma. If you want to become a General you have to prove yourself in battle, but it’s more of an honor system than anything; you can’t really volunteer yourself to become a General. (Which was instated well after Titus became a General, COUGHShintCOUGHS.) A dragon who wants to become a Guardian, however, has to be at least 300+ years old, with military and scholarly experience to prove themselves in their ‘trials.’ Trials are open to anyone, and apprentices/acolytes for Guardians aren’t a thing for my own lore for the Chroma.
As for Soar Wings, usually their wings actually appear sometime around the time of that first flight. So about 75 years old. The Soar Wing individual doesn’t have them, and will suddenly get all feverish; this is the body increasing it’s magical output/burning calories at a FREAKISH rate. They’ll feel really intense growing pains along their spine, and when their wings finally emerge there’s actually a loud ‘POP’ noise like an explosion as they manifest and send out a magical gas that rapidly solidifies into physical tissue. (This gas naturally repels any kind of germs or other objects that don’t belong.)
How are the elements divided for the Chroma? So Fire, Water, Earth, etc? What are the big categories vs the subtypes?
MOD: So the Chroma Elements are as follows, and these are going to be updated when I get the sub-pages finalized with specifics regarding how the Elements are regarded in society:

Notice these last two. Only since Gaea’s birth did they really become part of Chroma society.
So still regarding the Coreless. In your old lore you had the Coreless divided up based on the dragons from the Original Spyro series. Will you keep these unique breeds of dragons a thing, or will you make Coreless its own thing, and have each individual Coreless have a unique skill set unconnected to any classification. Or will it be a combination of both, with there being General Coreless in addition to these Coreless "Breeds."
MOD: It’s still going to essentially follow the same lines as what I had from before, with the different types based off of the Classic universe, but with different names. I didn’t touch in it before because I didn’t know how to approach this plot point, but the genetically Coreless have always been a thing, they just integrate into General Coreless societies pretty naturally.

Kuros can have a secondary element, can Chroma have one as well? If so, how do secondary elements work? Can they be used independently, or is it more a matter of the secondary element influencing how the primary element is used? So a Water Primary and Air Secondary dragon use both, or would it be more a matter of their Water element would come out more airy?
MOD: Yes and no. Remember that Chroma are pretty strict and an unforgiving bunch when it comes to things that are ‘unnatural.’ For Elements like Wind and Water, like you mentioned, it’s sometimes seen as useful. It’s more or less a case of ‘we’re wary of this individual who isn’t purely this one thing unless it proves useful to us.’ It can and it does happen, but there is a lot of stigma regarding those who are regarded as ‘unpure.’

Do Coreless only refer to dragons that lack elemental magic, but still have other kinds of magic, or can it refer to dragons which, for whatever reason, lack magic entirely? Or are their dragons like Gaea, who don't have an element, but which aren't an Artisan/Peacekeeper/etc? What are these considered?
MOD: All dragons in this universe possess an inherent tie to magical energy. Coreless Chroma refers to a lack of a ‘Core.’ This means that they do not have the ability to produce or manipulate the Elements, though they are not entirely devoid of magic entirely. They can still be taught how to use magical energies via spells, incantations, potions and meditation. Some Coreless are even gifted seers and soothsayers, with the gifts of foresight via scrying through various things. (Fire, Water, etc.)
If Gaea is not considered Coreless, what is she considered, since she currently has no element? Is it normal for young dragons to not have an element, or is she unique in this regard?
MOD: Currently in her clan, she is considered Untouchable/Undesirable. The Deep Vale Clan doesn’t have any kind of specific colleges or tutors for Coreless, unlike the dragons of Warfang, who only in the last two generations (Vulcan’s generation and onwards) accepted Coreless Chroma as valued members of their society. Since to all intents and purposes she has been raised as a Chroma, this isn’t something that’s considered ‘normal,’ as many of the Coreless Chroma are also born without markings; but Gaea was.
