It had been a week of struggling but she was over feeling defeated. She pulled her act together AKA getting her platinum blonde highlights re-done, a fresh set of dramatic eyelash extensions and new mani-pedi and she was good as new. A little concealer here and an expensive outfit later– it was almost as if nothing happened. Aubrey had gotten her out of her rut, too, requesting her legal advice. While she wasn’t representing the city of Olympus, she still had cases and small projects through her family law firm. Standing in the woman’s dining room, pacing back and forth with the legalities of her upcoming business on the thick paper, she heard the sound of rustling entering. She wasn’t expecting anyone, putting the papers down and following the sound. Coming around the corner, she came face to face with him and them! Her eyes slightly widened and she gave him a smile, her eyes trailing back down to the babies he was pushing in the stroller. “Hi baby,” she said, looking up at him again. She felt a lump in her throat, her eyes meeting the baby’s again, a grin overcoming her features. “I didn’t know y’all were coming around here. What are you up to?” 

The days were still breezy and comfortable in Louisiana and she loved taking the kids to the park. It was better than being cooped up around tablets and TV screens. Her favorite part was being away from the walls of their home and letting them run freely. As she sat on the large picnic blanket, she fumbled around with the youngest Thane as she spotted the familiar stroller approaching them in the park. “Look who it is!” She mused excitedly towards the toddlers as she pointed towards Axel and the twins. “You munchkins are getting too big for me,” Talia said as she cleared space for them to join. “Ax, stop letting them grow up!” She said to him, a chuckle escaping her lips as she helped him with the pair onto the blanket. 

Tired would be an understatement. While Stassie loved what she did and never regretted spending countless hours on her cases but she needed her vice at the end of the day: a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. Strolling into the bar, letting down her hair and taking off her trench coat, she pushed passed the crowd and found an empty bar stool. Finally. She waved her hand towards the bartender, calling out her order and looking at the broad figure near her. “Hi there,” she said over the noise. “What’s going on in here?” She inquired.
