5: Talk about the best birthday you’ve had.November 16, 2013. somuchpotential had been visiting for a week. We’d been up to NYC and saw the Rangers live together from amazing seats (even if they did lose to the damn Devils). I’d gotten to see my sister for a bit that day, as she was home with some friends while one was running in the Philly Marathon the next day. The Rangers were in Montreal that night. We had Talbot in goal, and we fucking WON and SHUT THE HABS OUT. Probably Boyle and Prust looked at each other, too. It was truly truly truly the best birthday ever.
15: Talk about the time you were most content in life.It’s funny, today I went into work and about a half-hour into the workday, one of the supervisors asked me how my weekend was and noted that I seemed really relaxed. And I mean, I really do feel pretty chill right now! Once again fully employed, in a lot of ways better than I was before; spent a fantastic weekend with some good friends and some dumb hockey boys, and I crossed off one major “dream moment” from my list. Yeah. Right now I feel pretty dang content.
17: Talk about someone you want to be friends with.I WANT TO BE FRIENDS WITH BRIAN BOYLE, OKAY??? Let’s just get it out there and not make it awkward. There is something about him that draws me in, and it’s not just because he’s talented or silly or attractive? There’s something wholly indescribable that makes me feel connected. It’s certainly not romantic, and gosh I’d love for him to tell me all the cute things he loves about his wife and see him look kinda goofy and in love with her and then watch his eyes light up as the convo turns to something silly the kidlet did and and and. Ugh. I have such a friendcrush on him. I want to be his friend so badly. (And, tbh, if I ever got to know him more and become a friend, I’d probably never talk about it in a place like this, because I don’t want it for the second-hand notoriety. The only way you’d probably know it happened is that I stop flailing so much about him, just because I could flail AT him, haha.)
32. Talk about a place you remember from your childhood.At the Northern Lights, I’d order a swirl cone with rainbow sprinkles. madeofair usually got the same. Mom liked to get her cone with the hardened chocolate dip. Dad kept it simple. We’d walk past the park, down to the long dock along the outlet straight of Fourth Lake, eating our ice cream while looking at the names of donors carved into the dock’s boards, watching boats come in and out, kids swimming at the beach area. Sometimes we’d be shivering in July against the lake’s wind. The ice cream always got finished too fast.
38: Talk about songs that remind you of certain people.Wait, are there songs that aren’t supposed to remind me of certain people? No but seriously, music is so strongly associated with memory with me. Songs stick with me, for better or for worse, because of people or things. Enigma’s “Return to Innocence” makes me think of Star Wars, particularly Leia and Han, because I had Pure Moods on a constant loop while reading The Courtship of Princess Leia. Even though the city itself has a warmer feel to me over the last few years, Augustana’s “Boston” will always make me feel sick to my stomach and remember the emptiness of unrequited love. Train’s “Soul Sister” will make me think of dancing Slytherins and somuchpotential and make my heart refill with happiness. And don’t even get me started on the ridiculous songs on my iPod shuffle because of hockey players. *cough*
I have tattoos on my thumb and on the top/side of my index finger--and my artist told me that getting them on your actual fingers is p much not worth it because they fade so quickly because of everything they come into contact with. They lose some of the DARK BLACK of it after they heal so they look likeyou've had them for a bit. But I've had them for a while now and I haven't had to touch them up yet.
huh this is very informative thank you :D if they haven’t faded to badly on you, that’s encouraging? hopefully because i want them on the side instead of the front of my fingers will help from fading
