"...a man in early middle age, with long flowing locks, a face with a wisdom somehow older than its years, and a light brown beard, wearing the ruff and brightly-coloured finery of a Georgian aristocrat..."
-- The Cross of Venus by Andrew Hickey
This Doctor’s image was provided by Christopher Baker, a production assistant at the time of The Brain of Morbius, and later a director on TV series including Star Cops. Andrew Hickey’s story takes him and his children Jilly and Cedric to Venus in the futuristic year of 1975, where they meet the first British mission to the mysterious planet, and discover the shocking secret of its long-dead inhabitants.
