Though in HDB it seemed like Karl was obsessed with her(HDB Subaru Maniac prologue) Later rejet dismissed this situation in MB, DF and YB and shifted their importance to Cordelia and Karl's toxic situationship

The reason I believe Karl didn't love Christa as a romantic partner because

Karl in DF Subaru ecstasy 6 literally was disappointed when you/Yui reminded him of Christa

Karl literally cold heartedly (if you listen his voice you'd know) confessed that he only needed Christa for his experiment and had no other reason(DF Subaru ecstasy epilogue) Yet in Cordelia's case in DF Ayato ecstasy 7 he gave an ambiguous confession

He is literally sounded bitter about her(DF vampire END SUBARU ), I dunno why🥲

There's presence of mysterious 'aitsu'/that person in her life whom we don't know about (HDB Subaru ecstasy prologue; MB Subaru Maniac prologue)

He literally let her live after his death not bothering about the fact what might his sis will do without him. In demon world , death means literal confession of love amongst couple. In multiple route, we see our diaboys die together or kill each other as a twisted form of love or kill their lover to keep her for themselves. C'mon he kinda killed Cordelia indirectly in MB prologue and DF Ayato route

He didn't took her as 2nd wife like c'mon Subaru despite having shady origin still was an influential candidate (MB Subaru Maniac epilogue) If he really needed to appease his people he could have easily took her as 2nd; trained her child as heir; rather than marrying Beatrix with whom he rarely visited/interacted

Now , yes , amongst all wives she was the one who got most visited. (MB SUBARU ECSTASY 9) I kinda attribute Christa's character with Kanato. She basically throws tauntrum demanding Karl to be brought to her (DF Subaru dark and ecstasy prologue) In DF Subaru route she basically acts crazy which causes irritation amongst sakamaki brothers. Don't you think she caused enough trouble 😵‍💫

Fun fact: Christa told her young son that his father once told her: "Christa, your existence saved me" (LE Subaru Maniac 09) 🫨

After watching too many Cdramas I decided Christa's characteristics definitely fits 'white lotus' and 'green tea bitch' perfectly. No wonder Cordelia literally called her a slut(DF Ayato Maniac prologue). This crazy woman cold mindedly poisoned Yui/MC out of petty jealousy (DF Subaru dark 8)

In MB, DF and LE It seemed liked Karl liked Christa but only as young sister (at least to me). Maybe he did love her as lover(HDB) but his love for her as lover probably faded(MB, DF, LE) but his affection for her as sister didn't fade. He entirely couldn't ignore her cause she's his sis. Karl should have let Christa go
