Choc-Oat-Chip The rich tastes of chocolate and oats come together in Whoopie Pies, a delicious treat that is shaped like a sandwich cookie. For chocolate lovers, these chewy, sweet pies are the ideal dessert for any occasion.
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup cocoa powder. 1/2 cup rolled oats. 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 large egg. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 1/2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp baking soda. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/2 cup buttermilk.
Instructions: Turn the oven on to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius and line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Mix the flour, baking soda, oats, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Beat the sugar and softened butter together in a separate bowl until they become light and fluffy. Blend the egg and vanilla essence until thoroughly blended. Add the dry ingredients mixture to the wet ingredients gradually, beginning and ending with the dry mixture and alternating with buttermilk. Blend until barely combined. Add the chocolate chips and stir. Leave space between each spoonful of batter so that it can spread out when you drop it onto the baking sheets that have been prepared. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cookies are set and just firm to the touch, in a preheated oven. Take them out of the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets before moving them to a wire rack to finish cooling. After the cookies cool completely, sandwich two cookies together by spreading your preferred fillinglike cream cheese frosting or chocolate ganacheon the flat side of one of the cookies. To make whoopie pies, repeat this process with the remaining cookies. Put your Choc-Oat-Chip Whoopie Pies in the oven and enjoy!
