Menace Ayato x Scaredy cat Chisa is also lovely. The whole group decides to go to a newly opened haunted house. Ayato frightens the poor employees by staying calm and judging their tricks, even comparing them with the one he made at the cultural festival. Meanwhile Chisa basically glues to anyone near her as much as possible. Kaoruko, Saku and her bond over being overly scared even by the smallest sound. When they get out, Ayato sees how pale Chisa is and wonders if she thinks he's scary now. In reality, Chisa decides that the next time they go to a haunted house, she'll stick to Ayato no matter what because he's reliable.

I want to see them gaming together. Chisa is bad at this. She keeps losing and gets frustrated. Madoka asks Ayato to teach her because she's not a good teacher herself. So Chisa sits next to him and watches him play. Ayato explains, and Chisa nods despite having no clue what he's saying. Something dramatic happens to Ayato's character. Normally, Ayato would've had no problem dealing with that, but Chisa grabs his arm out of habit and gasps. Ayato loses. matter-of-factly.

Bonus 1: Later, when she frantically apologizes, Ayato says with his ears burning red, "It's okay. I won." Chisa gets serious, making a speech about "Never running away from reality, no matter how harsh it is."

From what we've seen, it looks like Madoka is the closest to Chisa in the group, which makes sense considering their personalities. They're both athletic and sort of witty. But then, Chisa acts more polished and refined compared to Madoka, who's a free soul. So their dynamic is like, Chisa is the one who matches Madoka's energy the most, but also will be there to make sure she's behaving properly and not getting too lost in the fun. A silly headcanon I have is that Chisa is good at literature, so she's the one helping Madoka by explaining in Madoka's language.

It's cute that Madoka is close to both Chisa and Ayato. So whenever someone asks Chisa, "Aren't you worried about your boyfriend's girl best friend?" She'd be like, "Yeah. I'm jealous. He understands the game she's hooked on. I can't do that. I want to play games with Madoka too!" and proceed to go on and on about how her boyfriend is stealing her best friend. Meanwhile, Madoka will text Ayato, "Can you fight?" when she finds out he's dating Chisa. And she's serious about it.

Okay how about this: Ayato runs every day. After hearing that Chisa goes jogging, Ayato tries different running routes to see if he can accidentally bump into her. He doesn't think much of it. It's just a silly game, plus he's pretty tired of looking at the same scene anyway. One day, he actually sees her. He's about to come and says hi, but he stops because she looks so serious and determined. He initially thought she was a frail, timid lady, but after they hung out and now this, he realizes she's really strong. Suddenly, his heart races and it's definitely not because he has been running.

Bonus scene: Ayato is trying to think if he actually likes her or he just admires her. Chisa spots him and calls his name. He looks up. She waves and smiles. They jog together. He says something silly. She laughs. He knows he's so done.

Just realize that Chisato is the definition of "Looks like a cinnamon roll but can actually kill you." In Chisa's case, she's doing it with her words. Now I want to see something like this: Ayato has some "business" with a bunch of thugs who made a very horrible life decision by picking a fight with one of his friends. Chisa appears out of nowhere, holds his wrist and says, "That's enough" with the gentlest voice and most caring expression ever. Then she crouches down to the nearest thug and he looks up to see a halo on her head, expecting she'd help him get up. But instantly, she switches to a disgusted face and finishes him with the most polite yet deadly roast. Rumour has it that the thugs were harassed physically and mentally that day.
