Chisa, having taken some time off to try and assess this situation- It was normal for Yomi to stay holed up in her room, but not for her to miss meals or skip school, clearly she needs to be here right now, even if Yomi only really spoke about the problem in the first couple days- opens the door. She looks upset, but not My-Daughter-Is-Missing-Or-Dead upset.

“Ah… It’s you…”

As usual, Chisa opens the door.

Hrmbgrmbl...

“...Need something?”

“A-awful... Why...? Why does this keep happening...?”

“Dear...Dear, please...!”

“I’ll find whoever’s doing this!”

“No you won’t!!”

“Don’t go out! And... And don’t open the door for anyone!”

“But Nii, he...”

“...I’m not sure if I can convince him. But I’ll try.”

“I’m... ugh, I h-hate this...”

“It’s so terrible... At least Moho-chan is here with us now. If she wasn’t, I’d probably go get her anyway, though...”

“First Nightmare, now this... Will it ever be safe to go home again...?”

“D-dad...”

“I know... I’m going to take my vacation days off. I won’t leave you all alone. Not now.”

“Uncle? Where are you going??”

“I’m going to round up cats. It might not be safe for them either, and if I can’t go out to feed them, they might go hungry.”

“I’m not going to be able to stop you, am I... Please be careful...”

“What do I want...”

Chisa sighs and takes a swig from her drink.

I find comfort in knowing who I was, where I was from, all of that, before I showed up here. It’s something comfortable I can’t imagine leaving behind or voluntarily forgetting.

It’s comfortable and reassuring to an extent to remember and embrace that I was a teacher. That I used to be cheery, bubbly, responsible. That’s something I strive to keep up while insys as well.

Is that just me?
