A teacher friend: “Hey, S, I’m thinking of getting a history timeline for my classroom, what do you think of this one?”

Me: “Oooo, it’s definitely pretty....”   ::looks closer::

Wait...  Why does Europe get more vertical space than Asia?   Isn’t Asia like, 4x the size of Europe or something?

Ah yes, all of N. Asia and China counts is One Row, whereas the UK also gets its own row.   Like, *at the very least* China should have North/South/Himalayas, right?  And India should at least have North/South, right?  And then there’s ... well, all of Central Asia...

My, it seems like there were a total of 3 battles in China over 1000 years.  Whereas England is fighting every 20-50 years.  It must be because the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing were soooooo peaceful.  They weren’t conquering or being conquered *at all*, nope!  Not even a peasant rebellion to speak of.  (And you know how much the communists like documenting every single peasant rebellion!)
