[☩] “The hell?”
He didn’t have a description for what he was seeing. At least not one that came to mind right away. Maybe it was just a lack of sleep finally catching up with him causing his mind to play tricks. Or maybe not.
He rubbed at his brow and let out a breath. This wasn’t something he was used to. Domestic life. They’d been stationary for a week now. In a cramped run down pain in the as house at the outskirts of some weird ass town that’d set up sometime after the war.
The floor creaked as he moved across the small room. He’d thought the floor was going to give out on them the first time they’d walked around. Lucky them. The bones for the house were all there it was mostly just the aesthetic of it all. He paused where he currently stood. His view less obstructed here than where he had been standing. “Are you seriously wearing an apron?” And where the hell had she gotten it? He didn’t recall either one of them having packed such a thing. Wasn’t really a necessity when wandering around.
The kitchen was a disastrous mess. Seifer knew he hadn’t left it like that. He was the “clean as you go” type. Would have driven him nuts to try and work in such chaos. The Mi’qote on the other hand seemed to be comfortable. He could be wrong.
