My Husband had bacterial spinal meningitis when he was 3 years old. When he was 8, he was officially cured of the seizure condition. A few months ago, we started seeing a therapist since we have been having problems in our relationship and she mentioned that he could have ADD. I read online that adult survivors of seizure conditions are more likely to have ADD and now I think there could be a connection. Do you know anything about this?
I don’t know anything about this, no, but it does seem plausible to me because we know that traumatic brain injury can cause ADHD-like difficulties that can be helped with the same treatments that work for people who have had ADHD all their lives.
