Theyâre so cute, I love them
I was rewatching WALL-E and I just randomly imagined Janus talking like EVE as a kid, so hereâs kiddo moceit :)
All the little prompt fics are so well-written and awesome! If there's any prompt for the older brother that makes you think, Oh, this is SO Devin, then that one, in a fic where they're kids?
title: Safe
au: LRVerse
description: Devin is a Good Big Brotherâ˘ď¸ (we been knew sis)
genre: f l u f f
word count: 552
a/n: oh god non pretty much every older brother prompt is so Devin how can i choose đ ok no having this be set when they were kids did make it easier (i had to choose two) lets do thiiiiissss
ââ
âVin!â Virgil cried out as he tried to grab his brotherâs arm.
âNoooo, V itâs Devin! De-vin. Thought you woulda learned by now.â Devin said.
âAt this point I think he just likes calling you Vin, honey.â Eleanor, the boysâ mom, said.
âYeah, I guess. Think heâll ever say my real name?â Devin asked as he attempted to pick Virgil up.
âIâm sure he will when heâs older. Heâs only four right now, and heâs a slow learner. Give him time,â Eleanor responded, watching her boys carefully. âFor now you two need to go to bed. Can you carry him up?â
Devin nodded, and slowly started walking up the stairs. Eleanor turned on the lights once they reached their room, and helped them get changed into their matching Star Wars pajamas.
âGo brush your teeth, boys. And you put the toothpaste on Virgilâs toothbrush, Devin! I donât want a repeat of last night!â Eleanor called out as the boys rushed to the bathroom.
While they finished up their night time routine together Eleanor set up their beds, and made sure their pillows were fluffed just right. Moms always do it best.
âAlright, babies, hop into bed.â she said as soon as they returned.
âMooommm! Iâm eight! Iâm not a baby!â
âYouâre my baby, Devin. Always will be. Deal with it. Now get in bed, goofball.â
âWait!â
Eleanor and Virgil watched as Devin ran around the room checking inside the closet, under the beds, and every little nook and cranny of the room. He seemed confused rather than satisfied with his findings.
âI checked for monsters, but theyâre all scared of me.â he said.
âCanât find em?â
âNo, V. Theyâre not here. I think weâre safe.â
âK. I wanna sleep now.â
Eleanor chuckled, and turned to tuck her little baby in, âGood night, storm cloud. I love you.â then kissed him on the forehead.
âLove you, mommy.â
âNow you, mister witch,â she said as she turned to face Devin. âget in bed before somebody drops a house on you.â
Devin giggled, and dove into his bed almost as if he was pretending to float. Eleanor knew better though, âEnough of that, or Iâll take away your broom privileges.â
âOkaaaaayyyy.â
Once the little witch was all tucked in Eleanor checked that the night lights were on then switched off the main lights, and left with one last, âGood night, boys.â
Devin immediately turned on his side, and closed his eyes. Meanwhile, Virgil was wide awake, and scared.
Most of the time the night lights helped him, but now they were just ominous glows that casted scary shadows. The window showed spooky shilouettes. The old house creaked, and groaned with every step. Maybe the monsters werenât gone.
âVin? You wake?â
âMhm. Whatâs wrong?â
âScared. I think the monsters are here.â
âCome here. Iâll play with your hair until you fall asleep.â
Virgil slowly stepped out of bed, bringing Tod with him, and followed the light trail to his brotherâs bed. Once there he climbed up, and crawled over to Devin who then pulled him into his arms. He started brushing his fingers through his wavy locks, and gently scratching his scalp. Virgil snuggled up to him as close as he could, and let his heartbeat, and grounding touch lull him to sleep.
He was safe.
hereâs a fluffy little platonic/familial logince fic for this prompt from @violetmcl !

Roman was going about his business-looking in the mirror to make sure he was still looking as regal as possible of course-when he felt a tiny hand tugging on his pant leg. He looked down to see a very pouty, yet somehow still serious looking, Logan. Roman had somehow gotten the logical side transformed into a child shortly after the newest Sanders Sides video. So much for starting to get along with the nerd, Roman had initally thought. His thoughts now were more like, Heâs so cute! Itâs totally worth being hated by him!
âRoman!â Logan yelled as he started to tug on Romanâs pant leg just a bit harder.
Realizing he missed everything Logan had just said Roman crouched down to the tiny totâs level, âSorry! Whatâs up, tiny teach?â he asked.
Well, that only intensified the pouty glare, and probably the hatred for the prince. Good going, Roman.
âAlready told you âwhatâs up!â I donât understand any of this ri- ridicul- ugh, stupid fairy tale nonsense! Whyâd you even gimme this book? I donât like it.â Logan complained.
It was only then that Roman noticed the tyke was holding the rather large fairy tale book he had given him earlier that day. He snickered, and took the book that was much too heavy for the small child. How did he even carry this? Why did I give this to him?
âWell, how about I read it to you? I could actually show the scenes so maybe you could understand them better! I do control the imagination after all!â Roman suggested.
âThat sounds like a waste of time.â Logan responded.
Roman raised an eyebrow, and smirked at Logan, waiting for his actual answer.
Logan rolled his eyes, and crossed his arms, âFine.â he said.
Roman grinned, and suddenly scooped Logan up into his arms. Logan yelped, and quickly gripped Romanâs shoulders to keep himself from falling out of his grasp.
âTo the Imagination, little prince!â Roman yelled as he snapped.
As he did the room around them slowly transformed into a theater. Logan looked around, and groaned, âThis again?â he asked.
Roman chuckled, and placed Logan on one of the seats in the front row.
âYes, this again! Itâs the perfect place for storytelling! Now, hush!â Roman yelled.
Deciding that he shouldnât be too dramatic for once, Roman sat himself next to Logan, and waved his hand to bring the story to the stage.
âThere was once a woman who wished very much to have a little child, but she could not obtain her wish,â Roman began. âAt last she went to a fairy, and said, âI should so very much like to have a little child; can you tell me where I can find one?â
On the stage a lowly woman, and an elegant fairy, who were actually just animated drawings, conversed as Roman progressed the story, âOh, that can be easily managed,â said the fairy. âHere is a barleycorn of a different kind to those which grow in the farmerâs fields, and which the chickens eat; put it into a flower-pot, and see what will happen.â
As the story went on Logan realized it was the one he had the most trouble understanding. Thumbelina. Children are not that tiny, and they most definitely are not born from flowers! Itâs illogical! And why did a toad want a tiny human to be his wife?! Whatâs with fairy tales, and intermixing species?!
Roman looked down at Logan to find that he could practically see the gears turning in his head. He chuckled, and continued despite his young oppositeâs confusion.
Once Romanâs storytelling, along with many interruptions from Logan, had ended said creative side noticed how sleepy the little one was now.
âI think itâs bedtime for a certain tiny side now.â Roman said.
Loganâs yawn was the only confirmation Roman needed. With a snap of his fingers the theater slowly turned back to his room. Once everything was fully back to normal Roman picked Logan up, and sunk down into his room.
âGood night, Thumbelina.â Roman said with a slight smirk.
Logan groaned, and attempted to push Roman off of his bed. Roman simply chuckled, and stood on his own as he raised his hands in surrender.
âAlright, alright. Iâve clearly overstayed my welcome. Iâm going now.â Roman said.
âWait,â Logan said, and quickly grabbed Romanâs sleeve to prevent him from leaving.
Slowly, Roman sat back down on the bed, and waited for Logan to speak.
âThomas.. Thomas was right. We do make a good team.. I donât.. I donât like arguing with you, or insulting you.. I just.. um, thanks. For the whole fairy tale thing tonight. It was fun. We should hang out to-together more..â Logan said as he avoided looking at Roman.
If Roman wasnât internally squealing over Loganâs cuteness as the child he now is before, he definitely was now. Though instead of gushing over him, he merely smiled, and leaned down to kiss his forehead.
âI wholeheartedly agree, little nerd.â Roman said.
âGood. Prep.â Logan replied with a small smile on his face.
Roman smirked, and stood to leave, but stayed for a moment to make a plea heâd been meaning to make since the last video.
âJust no more hair pulling, please.â
âWeâll see.â
Yes, they made a good team, but there would always be some things they still couldnât agree on.
