I think it was right after work, which in some environments actually means work. Its more about trying to not make yourself stand out as anything but professional, because early impression are lasting impressions.
I don't know, it looks to me like the first impression was pretty good, and after all that, I don't see Isabelle really reeming Kurt out for sending a quick text message while they all stand around and drink champagne. The way everyone was defending it, it sounded like Kurt was in a meeting with Anna Wintour herself. I've had exactly one office job, and answering my phone during work, was a no-no, but those office parties where the boss ordered us food and we're shooting the shit playing "in Bed" with our fortune cookie fortunes, sending a text message, not a huge deal.Â

That was the best part of that whole bit. Because everything does come with biscuits. :D Though wtf was up with the John Oliver bit? I thought we'd get some jokes about the city being named for an English queen, not some a stupid Civil War crack (though the Billy Graham Parkway bit was funny)
