One of the Reasons Germania always seemed so cold and distant when dealing with his sons was due to the fact he didn't expect them to live very long.  When Prussia was born, he wasn't a nation, but an order of knights, not even a small micronation, The Same goes with the Holy Roman Empire, he was never quite as strong as Germania thought he should be. And so he braced himself, knowing that some day his two boys..his two babies would die. Had he known that things would turn out the way they had, he would have been much more open to them, and shown them more love. this is something he regrets, even to this day.
