I'm relatively packed and am working on some last-minute cosplay stuff for Ohayocon! Â I'm so excited that it's tomorrow! Â My lineup (so far) is:
Friday- Hipster Aranea-->Formal Aranea-->Felicity Smoak-->whatever I end up in for the rave
Saturday- Honey Lemon-->Skater Mituna-->my other rave outfit
Sunday- Too lazy to cosplay (most likely), so my new Totoro dress and whatever wig ends up on my head

Sometimes I just stop what I'm doing and run my fingers through this thing. Â I keep saying it's because I'm checking to see if the fabric softener mix has dried yet, but it's really because I'm in love with this wig. Â The picture doesn't do the color justice and I'm so excited to work with it!
My tablet case has somehow gone from "this is where my outdated tablet lives" to what my dad just referred to as an "instant Felicity Smoak kit". Â He's not wrong. Â Red pen, QC badge with black lanyard, and my tablet (that started life as an ereader, but then it met me). And random playbills, because reasons.
Did an in-progress cosplay test for Felicity today. Â The main thing I learned from this experience? Â I need to learn how to do makeup better and the Queen Consolidated logo on my tablet might be a little more of a pain than I thought it would be.

Unpacking went WAY faster than I expected it to. Â All that's left is to put away my laundry and then I can work on Honey Lemon's lab coat!
Kingdom Hearts keeps sucking me back in. I can never fully give it up. I still haven't finished my Namine cosplay and now I keep thinking "man, I really want to make a good Axel wig" for no reason. These are dangerous thoughts that should be stopped!
Cosplay shoes are the most annoying thing. Â I just drafted the pattern for Felicity and Honey Lemon's dresses. Â Fabric for both is no more than 2 yards (and that's being super generous) plus lining (because there's no way I'm making an unlined dress for Felicity Smoak). Â I'm using the same wig for both because I'm doing Felicity with a ponytail and Honey with a messy bun. Â I've already got dance tights for Felicity and I can get cheap white tights for Honey (preferably lace to liven it up a little). Â I'm making Honey's socks so they can have an accurate cuff. Â I found Honey's glasses on Amazon and am using my real glasses for Felicity. Â What can I not find that looks nice and won't break my wallet?
THE SHOES. Â Yellow platform pumps (I like the look of suede-style for Honey) and hot pink t-strap (preferably patent leather or similar because those things are shiny as heck) pumps are two of the most specific and strange styles of shoes I've ever had to find. Â Blergh.
