A tasty combination of a regular cheeseburger and kimchi's spicy and sour tastes. If you like trying new things, this Kimchi Grilled Cheese Burger is a great treat for you.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 burger buns. 8 slices of American cheese. 1 cup kimchi, chopped. 4 tablespoons mayonnaise. 2 tablespoons unsalted butter.
Instructions: Preheat your grill or stovetop griddle over medium-high heat. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Place the burger patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer if desired. During the last minute of cooking, add 2 slices of American cheese on top of each patty and cover with a lid to melt the cheese. While the burgers are cooking, split the burger buns and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place a cheese-topped burger patty on each bun bottom. Top each burger with a generous amount of chopped kimchi. Add the top bun to each burger to complete the sandwich. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Place the assembled burgers in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the buns are golden brown and crispy, and the cheese is fully melted. Serve the Kimchi Grilled Cheese Burgers hot and enjoy!
