Some time ago I started to pick an interest to Richard III as a historical figure. What sort of person and king he was?Why he was portrayed like evil creature for so long? I was ready to read two or three biographies and done with the subject. Like I usually do. Why few books? Because I know that usually exist few different views on the subject so I wanted to find most balance opinions on the matter and move on. How naive I was! First thing I learned that there isn't middle ground. With very few exceptions. Good saint king Richard or evil villain.Choose! No, thank you very much. I refuse to cheery-pick history for my liking. I refuse to look at real events and real people as some kind of fiction where drama is all what matters.
