With the opening of their new location, they are bringing back their Winter Cars & Coffee series. Now if you were with us back when, you know that the season opener is always @porsche day by default. 8 am at 840 W. 35th Street. 11/25 @carsandcoffeeoakpark ‘Drive to the Rock.’ Details to follow, but we will be joining Mario and crew for their annual drive to the site to commemorate the first auto race in the US located in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago. We understand that the rock has been temporarily located due to the construction of the Obama library. There is an alternate location in the works. This event is in our Facebook events. 12/4 The Checkeditout ‘Toy Drive, Drive.’ In our second year of doing the toy drive, we will be running it backwards. Start at Midwest Performance Cars @mpcars in the morning (8am) with a 10 am run to Burdi Clothing Hinsdale @burdiclothing Remember, this event is open to all makes and models. MD Herald X @checkeditoutchicago Checkeditout has had the great fortune to work with many outstanding photographers in our four-year history as evidenced in our Check19 book. This year’s photos were unlike any others to date, but when the event was wrapped, there was one image that stood out from the rest. @md_herald caught three aircooled cars belonging to John Moore, @johnharbinson_ and @pixitake rolling eastbound on Fulton Market in a way that conveys the essence of what a Checkeditout event is all about. Three long hood cars with so much character against a backdrop of brick warehouses that we love at Checkeditout, and a touch of our Check21 artist collab with @dazzo.c MD has been shooting Porsches since his lifelong dream of ownership was realized. MD, his Porsche, and his camera have traveled the country attending events and driving rallies. From the lawn at the local Concours, to Monterey, and Rennsport Reunion you can see him at most events working to capture their essence through his photography. Get to know MD in the Ryan Duffy film created for the @overcrestproductions Rally Film Festival (link in Checkeditout’s bio). We are grateful that MD is working with us to produce a limited quantity of these prints available for purchase over the holidays. The prints will be produced on 20 X 30 Hahnemuhle white cotton artist’s paper. Proceeds from the sale of each print will be donated to @marinetoysfortotsfoundation Orders for our MD Collab will open next week in the Checkeditout online store.
