i am going to make this a happy post to cheer me up.
everything is going to be okay. like honestly, in 20 years, when i have my own family, will this matter? not nearly as much as it does now! yes i am worried about my mom, but if you think about it, people get through cheating all the time. every day. it may take time, but it will be okay! I am such a smart and dedicated and passionate and caring person, and i am going FAR in life. i just have to stop thinking about this. which is almost impossible, but it's easy at school, and at home i mostly just stay in my room. i don't know what he's doing, but hopefully not anything bad that could destroy this family. HOPEFULLY. oh well. screw this. screw him if he wants to ruin this family. but i will be fine regardless.
"Controlled" Cheating...
So as I promised I am going to render my opinion on different misconceptions and forms of cheating. Before diving in I must say that cheating as can be expected has become an art. Technology has created a speed bump in the arena of cheating that many may have thought would end cheating as we know it, but to me it has just made the "thrill" that much more intriguing. How does one not see cheating as obsolete with screen shot capability, twitter (connects us to people in beijing), and all the other things that make privacy not so private. In knowing all this "controlled" cheating is attempted. I call it controlled because the person who is attempting to cheat, wants and needs to control the situation. The most popular form is "tic for tack":
In the words of J Cole "Only f#%* with people who got s&8% to lose". This is attempted by establishing from the get-go that both involved have something of equal or greater value to lose. Ex.) A married man may only chose to cheat with an already married woman who has a career and family. He sees this as protecting himself. This may also be the case when two people get together who have a reputation that they both care about protecting. The fallacy with this however is that it is impossible to monitor what someone else considers leverage. Maybe that married woman at some point decides she doesn't care if her family is broken or someone decides that to "out" you would be worth their reputation. It is also imposible to predict what will happen once feelings are involved.
In closing one should realize you cannot practice "controlled" cheating with 100% safety because YOU AREN'T CONTROLLING IT! Anytime that a second party has that much power in a situation it is impossible for it to be "controlled".
Dig? Thoughts are welcomed.
