Abel rubbed one of the only blank spots on his arm as he waited outside the tattoo shop, sipping on his coffee, the one he got for Chip leaning on the wall next to him. It was colder now, his beanie snug over his hair as he breathed out, a wisp of smoke escaping his mouth into the chill. “There you are” he grinned , holding the warm coffee cup out to Chip. This was always a bittersweet moment for Abel if he had lost tributes to the games. He was obviously heartbroken that the tributes for the last games hadn’t made it, but he liked to make this as happy a moment as he could, whether they made it or not. “Ready for some pain?” He asked, raising a brow, a certain glint in his eye.
Abel had just collected his collection of shirts from the dry cleaner, the collection that Emme had decided to colour while he was in the shower. They had managed to rid most of the stains, but the black marker she used on his favourite pink shirt was definitely permanent.

Nibs had come to the ball...alone. That was his choice. He could have asked plenty of people to accompany him but it would have been as friends. There wasn’t anyone he was really romantically interested in. There was Wendy. She was cute and she made him laugh. He wasn’t really sure what that was supposed to all mean though. In the mean time why not enjoy himself? He was watching all the people dance and was itching to do so himself but didn’t want to look like a complete weirdo alone. He noticed another person standing along the wall near him and walked over. “Listen. I really want to dance but I came here alone and I have no one to dance with. Would you dance with me? Is that too forward to ask a stranger?”
