Via had spent literally the entire day at the shop, working on client after client, so she was exhausted and sore, but she could only complain so much because the tips she had gotten were good. Nonetheless she was out walking with Nova, admittedly not paying attention to anything other than the dog in front of her, relying on him to pay attention so she didn’t have to. He stopped abruptly and sat down on the pavement and Via opened her mouth to ask him why, not like he would answer, but she looked up just in time to see Rylee. “Well, hi, sunshine,” she said with a grin. “Nova noticed you before I did,” she mused, the dog looking back at her before standing up and nudging Rylee’s hand with his nose.
