So far this convention has been phenomenal--it's so cool to be surrounded be people who share something I am so passionate about, especially a piece of me that I very rarely share with the people I know offline. It's just this awesome realization I get every little bit like "these are my people". Everybody carries a notebook or an iPad and listens and cheers and it's just amazing. Don't get me wrong, I had awesome friends in high school and college (and really my HS friends are a large reason I developed many of the interests I value today) but goodness I wish all of this had existed like this back then too. Maybe I would have found my relative self confidence before I was 23.
