New Girl
Having a chance to explore the unfamiliar territory was essential. So far the place was certainly larger than back home, but it was still quaint. Not many people appeared to reside here, and Selena figured that perhaps less people meant less talking.
For some reason, the prospect of actually speaking to the inhabitants of this island was odd and perhaps made her anxious. She didn't know how quickly she'd lose her temper if someone dare pick at her for simply being different. Coming from a different island, naturally there were cultural differences. But...so far so good.
She knew she was going to have to converse with the lanky ginger boy in front of her though, because he was employed at the very place she wanted to work. So, with a dream in her heart and a smile plastered on, she approached him. He already seemed to give off some sort of grumpy vibe, but whatever,"Hi! I'm Selena, I just came in from Toucan Island. I was wondering if you had any positions for hire." She was winging this, obviously. But she wasn't sure what the standard procedure for these types of things was here.
