Charro/Vaquero - Solvang Fourth of July parade
Charros represent a living equestrian tradition rooted in Mexican horsemanship that predates California statehood. Long before the American cowboy, Mexican vaqueros and charros shaped the ranching culture of Alta California, developing advanced riding techniques, cattle handling, and distinctive ceremonial dress. In the Santa Ynez Valley, this heritage has continued through generations of Mexican and Mexican-American families who preserve charro traditions through riding clubs, parades, and community events. When charros ride in Solvang parades today, they honor both California’s early ranch history and a vibrant cultural legacy that remains active in the region.
Cowboys cowboys
Me, back? Ofc not I’m just gonna dump the stuff I’ve done over time, I’m more alive on TikTok tho. Gonna divide in two posts maybe, cause there’s some stuff, anyway, new characters to the story of my charro man.
La catrina and Héctor, la catrina is basically his boss and Hector a bounty hunter that wants his head on a silver platter for his own boss.
And this little devil guy is Rocko a weaker from of a creature they find in the story
That’s the first half of posts for now, I’ll do the other sillier ones later
