Of Spring and Death || Nate and Phoebe
Boring. Lifeless. Colorless. That was how many described the underworld. And the Goddess who ruled there agreed wholeheartedly. Most knew her by the name Hades, which was shared with the land she ruled over. But those close to her knew her by her true name, Phoebe.
Phoebe sighed and looked out over her domain, cursing her brothers for sticking her with dominion over the land of the dead. She craved the warmth of the sun, the freedom of the sky and the colors of the earth. But alas, that would never come to pass. She had been given her lot and she must remain there. Luckily, she could visit the earth from time to time. basking in the life above before she had to return the dankness below.
During her latest excursion to the Earth, Phoebe came upon a beautiful garden. She walked through it slowly, smiling at the beautiful colors surrounding her. She loved flowers, but living in the underworld did not offer much opportunity to be around them. Ahead of her, she noticed someone else there and immediately stepped behind a tree. Most other gods were not to happy to meet with the Goddess of the dead. She peeked her head out, her heart flipping at the sight of the man in the middle of the field of flowers.
