Title:Sanctuary in Her Arms

Piper Halliwell stood behind the bar of P3, her club, cleaning a few glasses. The evening rush had died down, leaving the place in a cozy hum of light chatter and soft music. She glanced at the clock, noting the time. You’d be home soon, and that thought filled her with a mix of anticipation and concern. You’d texted her earlier, mentioning what a rough day you’d had, and all she wanted was to make it better for you.

As if on cue, her phone buzzed. She wiped her hands on a towel and picked it up, smiling at your name flashing on the screen.

“Hey, hon,” she answered, her voice gentle. “Are you on your way?”

“Yeah,” you replied, sounding tired but comforted by her voice. “I should be there in about fifteen minutes.”

“Perfect,” she said, her mind already racing with ideas to make your evening special. “I’ll be waiting.”

You sighed, the sound heavy with the weight of your day. “I can’t wait to see you, Piper. Today has been... well, let’s just say I could really use one of your hugs.”

Piper’s heart ached at the exhaustion in your voice. “I’ve got plenty of those for you. Drive safe, okay?”

After hanging up, Piper swiftly put her plan into action. She closed up the club a little early, leaving a note for her staff. Then, she hurried home, making a quick stop to pick up your favorite takeout. Once she got home, she set up the living room with soft lighting, lit a few scented candles, and turned on some relaxing music.

When she heard the front door open, she hurried to greet you. You stepped in, looking worn out but managing a small smile when you saw her. Piper immediately wrapped you in a tight hug, her arms around you a sanctuary from the world’s troubles.

“Welcome home,” she whispered into your hair, her breath warm and comforting.

You melted into her embrace, closing your eyes and letting out a deep breath. “I needed this.”

She pulled back slightly, her hands still on your shoulders, and looked at you with concern. “Rough day, huh?”

You nodded, your eyes showing the stress you’d been through. “You have no idea.”

“Well,” she said, taking your hand and leading you to the living room, “I’m here to make it all better. How about we start with some dinner?”

You glanced at the table set with takeout containers and candles, your heart swelling with affection. “Piper, this is perfect. Thank you.”

She smiled, kissing your forehead. “Anything for you. Now, sit down and let me take care of you.”

You settled into the couch as Piper dished out the food. You ate in comfortable silence, the tension of your day slowly ebbing away. After dinner, Piper took your hand again and led you to the bathroom where a warm bubble bath awaited.

“Are you trying to spoil me?” you teased, feeling lighter already.

“Absolutely,” she replied with a mischievous glint in her eye. “You deserve it.”

She helped you undress, her touch tender and loving. You stepped into the bath, sighing as the warm water enveloped you. Piper knelt beside the tub, her fingers tracing lazy patterns on your arm.

“Just relax,” she murmured. “Let the day wash away.”

You closed your eyes, sinking deeper into the water, feeling all the stress and tension dissolve. Piper’s presence was calming, her love a balm to your weary soul.

After the bath, Piper wrapped you in a soft towel, drying you off with care. She led you to the bedroom, where she’d already laid out your comfiest pajamas. You dressed slowly, savoring the moment of tranquility.

Piper joined you in bed, pulling you close. You nestled against her, feeling her warmth seep into you.

“Thank you, Piper,” you whispered, your voice filled with gratitude. “You always know how to make everything better.”

She kissed the top of your head, her lips lingering. “I love you,” she said simply. “And I’ll always be here for you, no matter what.”

You looked up at her, your heart full. “I love you too.”

Piper’s eyes softened, and she leaned in, her lips finding yours in a sweet, lingering kiss. The kiss deepened, filled with love and promise. You felt all the worry and stress of the day melt away, replaced by a warmth that only Piper could give you.

As the night went on, you and Piper held each other close, the world outside forgotten. In her arms, you found peace, love, and the promise of better days. And that night, you slept soundly, knowing that with Piper by your side, you could face anything.

Part 1 Part 2 

               “Powers? What do you mean powers?” Piper asked as everyone came downstairs. You stayed closed to Wyatt as he stood. “She just shot lightening out of her hands. She’s never done that before” Wyatt said as Leo blinked. “Seriously Y/N that’s really impressive that means…a lot actually.” Leo said with a smile.

               “Could she have absorbed one of Cole’s powers?” Paige asked, “Like I did that one time with the demonic power brokers?” “Its possible Paige but I don’t think that’s what happened here. Y/N your parents had powers, and you were meant to have them too, you just came into them late.” Leo said in his white lighter voice. “What do you mean ‘came into them late’? I don’t understand!” you said waving your hands, Causing the turkey on the table to catch on fire. “Oh my god!” Piper yelled freezing the turkey flames quickly.

               You gasped and moved away from everyone, “Oh my god what’s happening to me!” you yelled before running out of the front door. “Y/N!!” Wyatt yelled. “Don’t worry we’ll find her,” Paige said as she and Phoebe ran out the door after you. “I don’t understand. If she has powers, then she can defend herself.” Wyatt said, “Maybe its me, maybe she doesn’t want to be with me anymore.” He sat down at the dinner table as Piper looked at Leo. “We need to fix this.”

               You pulled your sweater around your shoulders as you walked down the sidewalk. “Y/N!! Y/N Wait!” you heard from behind you. “No! I do not want this! I don’t want to be part of the Good vs Evil battle.” You said as phoebe sighed. “It’s a little late for that. You’ve been with Wyatt for almost  years Y/N…you having powers just means it was destiny for you two to be together.” Phoebe said as you bit your lip. “What if you’re wrong? I cannot fight demons every day. I won’t do it.” You said with tears in your eyes.

               “Piper no. We cannot get involved. They have to figure these problems out on their own.” Leo said as he followed Piper into the attic. “Leo, remember when we were that age? We did not have anyone to help us solve these types of problems. They need our help dammit, I will not stand by and watch our son go through the struggles we went through! Now will you help me or not?” she asked turning and looking at him. “Piper their problems are not magical, they are normal.” He commented.

               Piper marched over to the book and began flipping through it. “No Leo, their problems are magical, and dammit this book will help them get their problems figured out.” She stopped on a page and began to read aloud despite Leos protests. “Your love for Wyatt shall increase ever more. Make their feelings be restored. When they look upon another face, their hearts will be replaced.” Piper said. She looked at Leo for a moment before a crash sounded downstairs.

               Coop was helping Wyatt stand up as Piper and Leo came downstairs, “Wyatt? What happened to you?” Piper asked checking him over. Wyatt looked confused. “Piper? Leo? How did I get back to the manner so fast?” He looked around when Paige and Phoebe orbed in with Y/N.

               Suddenly Wyatt and Y/N both screamed at each other. “Whoa whoa! What is going on!” Piper shouted. “I’m Y/N!!!” Wyatt said turning to face piper. “Mom…we swapped bodies” it was Y/N voice and her face, but Wyatt was in her body now. “Oh man…this happened to Piper and Leo once but that’s because Wyatt did it from inside the womb.” Phoebe was trying not to laugh. “What happened?” She asked looking at everyone. “Oops…….” Piper looked at Leo who gave a disappointing look to her. “What do you mean oops?” Wyatt asked from Y/N’s body.

Wizards are a rare breed of immortal magical beings that are near extinction. They can be either good or evil, though they possess no true allegiance. As spell and charm creators, Wizards are skilled at creating illusions and possess the power to teleport through the power of Spiralization, which is unique to them.

Warlocks are a breed of evil magical beings descended from the first witch Neena and her mate, who gained their powers from the All. Warlocks are considered the evil counterparts to good witches.

Most warlocks are driven by the desire to kill and obtain the powers of good witches. However, there are various sub-species with their own distinctions and desires. There are several ways for one to become a warlock, though one can also be born as such.

Warlocks rank low in the Hierarchy of Evil and are virtual second-class citizens in the Underworld.

A witch is a human being born with a piece of the All, which enables them to manifest magical powers. Like mortals, witches can be either good or evil, but only good witches serve as protectors of the innocent.

The origin of witchcraft dates back to the beginning of the Earth itself. Since then, witches have existed for untold centuries, passing down their knowledge and skills through generations in family lineages. Contrary to popular belief, witches do not receive their powers from demons, nor do they worship the Devil. Instead, witches use their powers to hunt and vanquish demons in order to protect the innocent and to make the world a safer place. The term "witch" is not exclusive to females, and is extended to males as well.

Every bloodline of witches originates from Neena, also known as the first witch.

A Whitelighter is a guardian angel who protects and guides good witches and future Whitelighters to protect and nurture them for their intended destiny. A person can become a whitelighter when he or she is destined to be one and fulfills their destiny in life, thus given the choice to be reborn as whitelighters or move on to the afterlife upon their death.

The Whitelighters are led by the Elders, a council of powerful and experienced Whitelighters that serve the greater good. The Elders manage Whitelighters and assign them to charges, although sometimes this connection happens naturally.

I’m neither a part of the RP community(and not sufficiently knowledgeable on how the fan-cast/alternate face-claim culture works within fandom) nor familiar with TW or it’s fandom. But aside from the fact that Drew was exceptionally well received as Chris by the general audience (which the trending & long running shows are primarily aimed at; fandom represents approximately 1 percentage of viewership so the preferences it holds & characters/actors it favors - i.e Phoebe - are not reflective of the views held by the general audience), that after Drew’s departure as a regular the ratings drop was almost as perceivable as the one after Shannen’s departure (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Charmed_episodes) which speaks volumes given Drew was only a regular in ONE season vs Shannen being a lead in three (the drop was actually MORE significant after Drew was written off; but we ought to take the fact that long running shows tend to naturally drop in ratings by it’s later seasons. Though in this case the plummeting of the ratings was MARKEDLY abrupt) & that Drew is “the only guest star to appear in every season following his introduction” (per Charmed Wiki). There’s a matter of - as you note - the casting department deliberately making sure Chris resembles both of his parents because the hints leading up to the reveal of his relation to the Halliwells & him being PL son and Wyatt’s brother were planted as early as season 5 final (only to become more prominent in 6X01 the moment Chris’ “if anyone should be protecting themselves it’s me - from you [Wyatt]” line was uttered. Which was also a foreshadowing of Wyatt being the evil in the future). When my grandmother over a decade ago saw a brief segment of S6 as I rewatched it on VHS and asked who “that handsome” was I clarified that Chris was the sisters’ new Whitelighter (the only term she memorized from the Charmed mythology because in Russian it was translated as a “keeper”) who is soon to be revealed as Piper/Leo’s second son. She proceeded to watch the rest of the episode (which was from the first half of S6 where no one knew Chris’ real identity - I think it was 6X05 or 6X06) wholly confused as to how no one in the family noticed that Chris “looks just like Piper”. That gives one a rough sketch of how general audience DOES pick up on such things & pay attention to casting and hints (contrary to fandom-invented misconception that only the fandom culture “cares” about the subtext. When it typically only cares about it when said subtext validates their assumptions/opinions/preferred direction of the show).

Tbh, even as a member of the Charmed RP community I still couldn’t tell you the reasoning behind alternate faceclaims for a canon character (unless it’s a lack-of-iconing-resources thing) or fandom recast edits in general. Specifically, I’m majorly confused as to why a significant number of the fandom recasts Dylan O’Brien as an alternate faceclaim for Chris Halliwell when, as I noted before, he looks nothing like Holly or Brian and there isn’t anything about him that, to me, says, “Ah, yes, this guy is a good alternate faceclaim choice for adult!Chris.”
